Welcome to Eltville am Rhein
The city of wine, sparkling wine and roses
Eltville is ideally located between forest, vineyards, and the Rhine River. The name “Eltville" goes back to “alta villa" which means “an elevated settlement" in Latin, and represents the city’s long history. Eltville was granted its official city status in 1332, thereby making it the oldest town in the Rheingau region.
